First family vacation

Two things that I just have to mention before I get into our beach trip:

1. Today my son called his little friend Harper "Worm". He looked back at her as she was walking behind him and said, "Come on, Worm!" It was funny then and even funnier now as I reflect on it.

2. We went to eat tacos tonight and I took Olivia to use the bathroom. I have to note that every time that child enters a restaurant bathroom where she can hear her echo, she yells various things at the top of her lungs. I've gotten used to it so sometimes it takes me a minute to realize that people are in there and probably don't want to hear her yelling. Well the bathroom we went into today was just for one, so we were alone as Olivia entered and yelled as loudly as she could, "Alejandro! Alejandro! Ale Alejandro! Ale Alejandro!" Yes, it made my whole year.

Okay, so onto the vacation. We tagged along with my mom and stayed in a beach house she rented for a week long trip to Galveston. Our timing was perfect- we went right after school started, so everyone was packing up and heading home just as we were arriving. We essentially had the beach all to ourselves. Even though Galveston is not the most beautiful place in existence, the stretch of beach we were on was very clean and nice and we loved every minute of it. Olivia would have swam out to the middle of the ocean if we would have let her and Estlin got more and more brave as the week went on. Here are a few photos from our trip.
